Central is a place where Everyone’s Welcome because one
of the things we’ve learned is that Nobody’s Perfect, and with Jesus, we
believe that Anything’s Possible.

No matter where you’ve been or what you believe, you’re welcome here. Central meets every Sunday and Wednesday in Chippewa Falls, New Auburn, and online, for services that clearly communicate the hope found through Jesus Christ. We use engaging music, compelling videos, straight-forward teaching, communion, baptism and many other elements to help people connect with a God who is incredibly passionate about you and your story. We hope you feel right at home here.

At Central, we Help People Find and Follow Jesus. We are a church where Everyone’s Welcome, Nobody’s Perfect, and Anything’s Possible.

Our church values are guiding principles that determine our behaviors and decision-making priorities. As long as the things we do are rooted in one or more of these values, we know we are living out our authentic identity as a church.

What you believe about God is the most important thing about you. We’re here to help you as you explore the spiritual side of life. Central is a place for people in every stage of their spiritual journey…a place where you can belong even before you believe.

While Central’s ministry is innovative, what we believe about God is not. Our core beliefs are centered in Christ and His message as found in the Bible. We believe in one God, who is existent in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and became fully man to save a lost world. We believe that the Holy Spirit guides us and that Christ is truly present in communion and baptism (We baptize babies AND adults).

The head of Central is Jesus Christ. As a whole, our goal is to reflect His priorities in all we do and how we do it. Central is guided by three primary groups of people: the Executive Team, the Council, and the Staff.

Executive Team – The Executive Team consists of the president, vice president and secretary of the council.  It serves as the Personnel Committee of the congregation, according to the Personnel Policy of the congregation. They meet monthly and oversee the council and staff.

Council – The Council is elected and is empowered by the congregation to give spiritual oversight for the church. They review major ministry decisions, and ensure the church remains faithful to the Bible. They also are responsible for the financial workings of Central and put together an annual budget that is presented and voted upon at the congregational meetings.

Pastor – The Pastor provides spiritual leadership for the church through prayer, teaching, preaching, and administering the sacraments. Throughout the week, the Pastor serves on the management and leadership teams to help support and provide visionary and strategic leadership for the ministries of Central.

Welcome to Central Lutheran Church!

We are excited to have you join us. And we are also aware that you may come wondering what to expect at Central Lutheran. Here are just a few things that you may notice.
Our worship is a bit noisy, not because of drums or singing, but because of the children in our midst. Children are welcomed and embraced at Central. In fact, we want to see AND hear children. Sometimes worship will feel meditative and other times it will feel like organized chaos. That's who we are. We love and embrace the children around us. That's just how it is! But we also know that children, at times, need a break. And if a break is needed, there is the Haven, a room available where you can still experience worship (via TV) but give your child the break that they are in need of.

Come as you are. You will find people in dresses and suits and others in tee shirts and jeans. Just come. We don’t care, and we really don't think God cares what you’re wearing.

People bring their Bibles. We like to use the Scriptures intentionally in our worship. But don’t worry if you don’t have a bible. We have one for every seat, so use ours.

During worship you will notice people making an offering. Through our offerings we can support God's mission for our church, but don't feel that you will be pressured to give because we don't expect you to give.

When you come to Central, chances are someone may say “Hi.” That's just who we are! We like to welcome the people who gather together.

Communion. We have Holy Communion every Sunday and Wednesday and EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO THE TABLE. If you don’t feel ready to commune, no worries. But just know that you are invited!

There are a variety of ways to worship God at Central and all of them are right and amazing in their own way. Take your time. Find the service that is comfortable for you that helps you feel connected to God.

If it’s your first time joining us please introduce yourself to one of our Hospitality Team members in the Welcome Center located just outside the Worship Center. Let them know it’s your first time visiting and they will show you where to go and take you for a tour if you’d like. If you have children, they’ll also help show you our Haven and craft area which are our children’s specific environments. After the service, please grab a first time guest bag from the Welcome Center. In it you’ll find more information about Central and an opportunity to provide feedback for us.
